5. Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)


Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has reached Russia on Sep 02 to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Defence Ministers’ Meet.

 

The SCO grouping comprises China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan


SCO is a permanent intergovernmental international organisation, the creation of which was announced on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai (China).


India and Pakistan officially joined SCO 9 June 2017
