Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has taken steps for “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” by creating local employment for migrant workers through its flagship “Honey Mission” program. 

Minister of State for MSME, Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi distributed 700 bee boxes to 70 migrant workers of Saharanpur and Bulandshahr districts of Uttar Pradesh.

It targets to resolve issues of people experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, panic attack, suicidal thoughts, etc.

6. Arunachal Pradesh

State government in Arunachal Pradesh has decided to appeal to the Centre for bringing the State under the purview of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution towards protecting the rights of its indigenous peoples

Sixth Schedule allows the constitution of Autonomous District Councils in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura & Mizoram.

The Sixth Schedule consists of provisions for the administration of tribal areas in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram, according to Article 244 of the Indian Constitution. It provides for the creation of autonomous District Councils.


7. ICICI Bank

ICICI Bank has announced the introduction of usage of satellite data ­imagery to assess credit worthiness of its farm sector customers.


8. polio

World Health Organization has declared Africa free of polio. 

No cases had occurred on the continent for the past four years, the threshold for eradication of poliovirus. 

Poliovirus now joins smallpox in the list of viruses that have been wiped out in Africa.
