Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ E-Launched “Corosure” – World Most Affordable COVID-19 Diagnostic Kit Developed by IIT Delhi at Rs.399/-. 


It is a probe-free, RT-PCR based Covid-19 diagnostic kit


Approved by the Indian Medical Council of India and Drug Control General of India, the commercial product named ‘Corosure’ was commercially developed by a company named NewTech Medical Devices after obtaining license from the IIT.

NABARD Launched Development Projects worth Rs 44 lakhs in Andaman and Nicobar Islands


These projects aim at strengthening the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat through rural entrepreneurship. The projects by NABARD will include the formation and development of Self-Help Groups, SHG.


will conduct 385 village-level programmes and will provide training to the leaders of the newly formed SHG with the sum of more than Rs. 10 lakh.


In Little Andaman, women attached to SHG’s will be Bamboo Handicraft making and Mushroom cultivation


NABARD also tied up with the Centre of Agriculture Research Institute (CARI) for conducting the agricultural programmes with an amount of Rs. 20 lakh.

UNICEF India Partners with SAP India to Provide Career Counselling to Young People


On World Youth Skills Day, UNICEF India partnered with a computer software company SAP India on Wednesday to provide career counselling to young people in order to improve their employability skills in the present and post-COVID-19 era.


UNICEF will also collaborate with 'YuWaah' - (Generation Unlimited), an initiative supported by the UN body, to provide digital education and occupational skill-set to the under-served young people

Second Counter-Terrorism Week at the United Nations (UNCOT)


The Second Counter-Terrorism Week at the United Nations was held from 6-10 July and convened under the theme of “Strategic and Practical Challenges of Countering Terrorism in a Global Pandemic Environment”.

India Voluntary National Review VNR Report 2020


NITI Aayog presents India’s second Voluntary National Review at UN’s High-Level Political Forum


India VNR 2020 report titled : Decade of Action: Taking SDGs from Global to Local, is a comprehensive account of the adoption and implementation of the 2030 Agenda in India.


HLPF is the international platform for follow-up and showing a review of progress on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)


The report discusses at length the policy and enabling environment, India's approach to localising SDGs, and strengthening means of implementation, Niti Aayog said.

Telangana Police Launch 'CybHER' Campaign To Tackle Cybercrime Against Women, Children


Telangana Police on Wednesday launched a month-long virtual awareness campaign 'CybHER' in the wake of cybercrime against the women and children in the state.


This campaign was launched by Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy, IPS.


The Women Safety Wing, Telangana police will partner with the legal aid cell of Symbiosis Law College.


Based on a survey by the Telangana police, CybHer has been launched on multiple platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, radio and television.

STRIVE & SANKALP



Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved two World Bank supported schemes SANKALP & STRIVE under the   Skill India Mission.


Skill Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement (STRIVE) project is a World Bank assisted-Government of India project with the objective of improving the relevance and efficiency of skills training provided through Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and apprenticeships.


It will develop robust mechanism for delivering quality skill development training by strengthening institutions- National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), Sector Skill Councils, ITIs and National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) etc


Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP)


SANKALP was launched on 19th January 2018 as a 6year programme with an objective to set up Trainers and Assessors academies with self-sustainable models


The difference between SANKALP scheme and STRIVE scheme is that SANKALP envisages to get more trainers while STRIVE will incentivize it is to improve overall performance.
